Homolka & Bernardo's charts
I have heard far too much about Karla Homolka these days, and I am sure there are others who share my sentiments. She and Paul Bernardo committed some gruesome crimes, and part of me tends not to want to give her any more press than she is already receiving. A Hollywood movie, entitled Deadly and based on the crimes, is set to be released in the fall. However, even I was curious about the astrology behind the individuals and the couple (blame it on a research-hungry mind), and I thought I would post their charts on our site for those of you with a similar curiosity. We can never "blame" any part of their charts for what happened - we all have a choice and are responsible for our actions. In other words, I cannot believe that anything in the charts of Karla Homolka and Paul Bernardo "explains" their actions.

I perfectly agree with you. Astrology can't explain all the horror existing on this earth. But, it is in the human nature to try to understand (excuse my bad english, french is my language!) ;-)
Catherine Aubier (french astrologer) wrote that murderers don't depend on planets, but by the meeting of : psychological tendencies, social context and ONE occasion.
It makes sense to me.
Yes, it's definitely human nature to try to make sense out of something that seems senseless to us. In my case, there is a part of me that just doesn't want to make sense out of this particular crime. Curiosity led me to take a brief look at their charts, but something stopped me from going any further--likely personal bias. There is certainly value to be found in dispassioned analysis of crimes. For whatever reason, I wouldn't be able to do such an analysis.
The quote from Catherine Aubier makes sense to me too! This is one of the reasons why astrologers cannot look at a group of anonymous charts and pick and choose which ones belong to criminals and which ones don't.
This reminds me of years ago when my brother picked up one of Lois Rodden's books of famous people's natal charts. For the fun of it, he gave me a few charts to analyze, after blocking out the names and birth data. The only thing I knew about the people were that they were public figures. He gave me OJ Simpson's chart, and of course, I didn't know it was his chart. Because I felt that the chart showed some potential problems with anger and aggression, and going on the knowledge that the person was famous for something, I told my brother, "I would say this is a sports figure or a murderer". In this particular case, I might have been correct about both possibilities! But it's an example of the potential shown in the chart, and how it is virtually impossible to know how a person is going to handle these potentials. Perhaps we can hone in on some psychological tendencies, but the social context is missing when we read a chart "blind".

I was particularly interested by the chart of Bernardo. The stellium in the twelve house is very powerful and interesting. In fact, I was wondering... Do you know some people with powerful twelve house? I'm studying both sides of this house. Transcendance and Darkness... I'm a Neptunian, ASC Scorpion! Instinctively I can rely to this polarity! But I must say right now : I'm a very good person!! ;-))))

A few years ago, I was on an astrology mailing list. Some astrologers were very presomptious (is that an english word?!). They were the kind of astrologers who KNEW THE TRUTH!! ;-)
So, I sent my brother chart (sylvain, born on 30 septembre 1961, 7h05, Montreal). They talked a lot (they were french!! ;-) and a long time about the great destiny Sylvain has. When I told them that Sylvain was born almost totally paralyzed and blind... and that He died of cancer at the age of sixteen... Aie! Long Silence on the Net... Everybody was a little shocked! Astrology and Astrologers have their limits. That's what I wanted to tell to these people.
